Pakistan middle-order batsman Asad Shafiq has been ruled out of upcoming cricket series to India after picking up hairline fracture on left-hand during Faysal Bank Twenty-20 match. Asad Shafiq is reportedly advised rest for four weeks. However, no official confirmation was made by the PCB.

Shafiq, who has played 10 Twenty-20 and 35 One-Day Internationals for Pakistan, sustained injury during Faysal Bank Twenty-20 where he was representing Karachi Dolphins. Pakistan is set to tour India for 2 Twenty-20 and three One-Day Internationals starting with a T-20 match on December 25 in Bangalore. Pakistan team will leave for India on December 22.
